A few months ago Ed and I decided to have ourselves a trip to Europe in a bid to soak up the remainder of the summer, and chose to visit Budapest. The city is extremely diverse and it's colourful history has left its architecture in a state of inspiring juxtaposition. We visited the roman baths, strolled across countless bridges, and even attended a wine and champagne festival. The food left a lot to be desired (mainly stew and large amounts of cottage cheese) but the local beers and wines more than made up for it! Definitely worth a trip back there.

Ben Howard at Lusty
Last night I went to Ben Howard's gig at Lusty Glaze in Newquay.
He was amazing as ever, lots of lovely acoustic songs which towards the end of the evening he spiced up with the electric guitar and some bass - it was incredible.

A Jammy Find...
Met up with the lovely Nix from Cube Theatre to take a few snaps of battered suitcases for an animation to go on the 2 shows 1 tour website....whilst she was on the blower I found some nice patterns and textures around the Tolman Centre.

Love
Another British illustration to go with a collection of four or five. It's quite simplistic compared to the things I usually do.
Time for Tea!
So, in honour of the imminent royal shenanigans and because I bloomin' love a nice cuppa, here is one of a series of card designs. This is also going off with Advocate for a couple of the forthcoming shows.

Name Tree
My friends had a beautiful baby girl in february and called her Poppy. I painted and collaged this name tree to go on her bedroom wall. All the fruit in the tree begins with a 'P' so there are lots of peaches, pears and plums in there, just like the each peach pear plum book I remember as a kid.

Peter Jensen
My lovely friend Bryn asked me to help out with some illustrations for a publication focusing on the muses who have influenced Peter Jensen throughout his career in fashion.
Each illustration needed to look as if it'd been drawn by a different fan.

Greetings.
Following the New Designers exhibition last summer I received a commission from Paperlink. I designed six cards which will be added to the L'arte range. Here are a couple of my favourites.
